500 km at 15 km/L and 1.50 per litre uses 33.3333 L and costs 50.00.

500 km at 7.5 L/100 km and 1.50 per litre uses 37.5 L and costs 56.25.

A 120 km one-way round trip at 12 km/L and 1.40 per litre travels 240 km, uses 20 L and costs 28.
